Privacy Policy

Section 01

Who we are

Pacewell is a product of Had A Farm LLC, a single-member software company based in Sherwood, Arkansas. We build accessible, purpose-built web and mobile tools. Pacewell is our daily wellness companion for people living with Parkinson's disease and their caregivers.

When this policy says "Pacewell," "we," "us," or "our," it means Had A Farm LLC. When it says "you" or "your," it means the person using the app or visiting pacewell.app.

Section 02

What we collect and why

We collect only what is necessary to provide the Pacewell experience. Here is the complete list:

• Your first name and email address. Collected when you create an account. Used to personalize your experience and send you notifications you have opted into. Never used for marketing without your explicit consent.
• Habit log data. When you mark a habit complete, we store that record with a timestamp. This is the core function of the app. Your streak, history, and exported reports all depend on it.
• Daily check-in responses. Mood, energy, and symptom sliders you fill in voluntarily each day. These are stored securely and used only to generate your personal trends and exportable reports. They are never analyzed in aggregate or shared without your consent.
• Medication log entries. Times and notes you enter voluntarily. Stored and used only for your personal record and reports.
• Apple Health and Google Health Connect data (optional). If you grant permission, Pacewell reads step count, sleep duration, and heart rate from your device's health platform. This data is displayed in your app and included in your reports. We do not store raw HealthKit or Health Connect data on our servers beyond what you have explicitly logged in Pacewell.
• Device and usage data. Basic crash reports and app performance data, collected anonymously to help us fix bugs. We use no advertising SDKs and no behavioral tracking tools.
• Email list signups (pacewell.app website only). If you submit your email on our website before the app launches, we store it solely to notify you when Pacewell becomes available.

Section 03

Health information

Because Pacewell is used by people managing a neurological condition, we treat all data in the app as sensitive health information, whether or not it technically qualifies as Protected Health Information under HIPAA. This means:

• All data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.2 or higher.
• All data is encrypted at rest on our servers.
• We do not use your health data to train machine learning models or for any purpose beyond delivering your personal Pacewell experience.
• We do not share your health data with insurers, employers, pharmaceutical companies, or any third party for commercial purposes.

Section 04

Caregiver access

Pacewell includes an optional caregiver view. If you choose to invite a family member or caregiver, here is exactly what they can see:

• Whether you completed your daily habits (yes or no, with date)
• Your current streak count and milestone badges
• Any reports you have explicitly chosen to share with them

Caregivers cannot see your mood check-in responses, medication log details, or any data you have not chosen to share. You can revoke caregiver access at any time from Settings. Removing a caregiver immediately removes their ability to view your data.

Section 05

How we share data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Period.

We share data only in the following limited circumstances:

• Service providers. A small number of third-party services help us run Pacewell, including cloud hosting, email delivery, and crash reporting. They process data only on our behalf and under strict confidentiality agreements. They are not permitted to use your data for any other purpose.
• With your explicit consent. If you generate a report to share with your neurologist or care team, that is your choice and your action. We provide the tool; you control the sharing.
• Legal requirements. If we are required by law to disclose information, for example in response to a valid court order, we will comply. We will notify you unless prohibited by law from doing so.
• Business transfer. If Had A Farm LLC is acquired or merged with another company, your data may transfer as part of that transaction. We will notify you before any such transfer and give you the option to delete your account.

Section 06

Your rights and choices

You have the following rights with respect to your data, regardless of where you live:

• Access. You can request a complete export of all data we hold about you at any time.
• Correction. If any data we hold is inaccurate, you can update it directly in the app or ask us to correct it.
• Deletion. You can delete your account at any time from Settings. Deletion is permanent and immediate. We retain no personal data after account deletion, except where required by law.
• Portability. You can export your full habit history and log data as a CSV file at any time from Settings.
• Notification opt-out. You can disable push notifications at any time from your device settings or from within Pacewell.
• Health data opt-out. Apple Health and Google Health Connect integration is optional and can be disabled at any time from your device settings.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@pacewell.app. We will respond within 30 days.

Section 07

Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain records for a longer period.

Anonymized, aggregated usage data (such as "X% of users completed the morning walk habit") may be retained indefinitely to help us improve the app. This data cannot be used to identify you.

Section 08

Children's privacy

Pacewell is designed for adults and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us immediately at privacy@pacewell.app and we will delete it promptly.

Section 09

Changes to this policy

We will update this policy when our practices change. If we make material changes (ones that meaningfully affect how we handle your data), we will notify you by email and with an in-app notice at least 30 days before the change takes effect.

You can always find the current version of this policy at pacewell.app/privacy. The effective date at the top of this page tells you when it was last updated.

This privacy policy and all Pacewell products are designed to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA accessibility standards.
